Who We Are |

Samaritan Medical Center is an independently-owned, family-run business that operates 18 first-class medical office buildings on Samaritan Drive, adjacent to Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, CA. The land we occupy was once known as the Lester, Cilker and Lester Ranch – and today, nearly a century later, the property is still owned and operated by members of the original founding families. We are an organization with deep roots in the community, and, because of that, we are committed to serving our community in the best way possible.

As a family-owned operation with deep ties to the community, Samaritan Medical Center is dedicated to serving the people of San Jose, Los Gatos and our surrounding neighborhoods. For nearly a century, we’ve been involved in the development and growth of this region, helping to establish Good Samaritan Hospital in the 1960s and providing top-notch facilities soon after for members of the medical community.
And, as the medical marketplace has changed, so have we, always adapting to meet the needs of our local physicians, patients and families.
As we move forward, we plan to maintain our focus on finding new ways to better serve our community. To that end, we are now embarking on an exciting phase of expansion. Over the next two years, we will be working with local physicians and healthcare companies on plans for a state-of-the-art, 75,000-square-foot medical facility – a building that will incorporate the latest models of healthcare delivery and medical and technological innovation. Our Location |

All Samaritan Medical Center properties are located on Samaritan Drive on the west side of San Jose – right next to Good Samaritan Hospital and about 10 miles from the downtown San Jose area.
Many of Silicon Valley’s most desirable communities are just a short drive away. We’re just one block from the Los Gatos border, three miles from Saratoga and Monte Sereno, and seven miles from Cupertino. Morgan Hill, another popular area for families, is about 20 miles south, and the prestigious Stanford University/Palo Alto area is just 20 miles north. Our location is also central to many of the Bay Area’s most popular spots – San Francisco is less than an hour to the north, and the beautiful coastal towns of Monterey and Carmel are just an hour south. And, the San Jose airport is only 10 minutes away.
Getting here couldn’t be easier. We’re right off the intersection of Highways 17 and 85. You can access either highway in just a minute or two.
